WOW guys, this wedding day was everything perfect for Maddie and Josh… the couple, the vendors, the venue!! It was incredible.
The week of Maddie and Josh’s wedding, we were all checking the weather forecast religiously. As soon as the forecast came out for Saturday, it was the exact opposite of what you would want on your wedding day: thunderstorms. I think I was praying just as hard for the weather for Maddie and Josh as they were!
Maddie, a native Kentucky girl, and Josh, a New Englander from Connecticut, met in Lynchburg, Virginia at Liberty University. In 2015, just as the holidays were around the corner, Maddie and Josh met. It was virtually inevitable, as their friend groups were intermingled. Maddie’s friends spent a lot of their time as groups at Josh and his roommates house (“Brolympus” LOL). Between mafia games, Lord of the Rings nights, and the survival of Lynchburg’s snowpocalypse, the friends were always spending time there.
As finals were finishing up and everyone was headed home for the holidays, Maddie and Josh found themselves only 2 of 4 of the friends still in town. They spent one night, just before going home, all together at the house, talking and getting to know each other more. Maddie left feeling like she had found deeper, more meaningful friendships, while Josh went home to tell his family of a new Kentucky girl he had his eye on 🙂
And really… the rest was history.
Maddie and Josh got to know each other even more as all of their friends went to Miami for spring break and on the way home, they spent the entire time talking and laughing. Their first date was in March, “I love you’s” exchanged in June, and she said yes to being Josh’s forever in October!
EVEN BETTER than their adorable story, the rain decided to literally just disappear and their day was perfectly sunny!
