Jenna & Nick: Virginia Wedding at Blenheim Vineyards

Jenna and Nick’s BEAUTIFUL Charlottesville, Virginia wedding easily makes the list of one of my all-time favorites! I had only met Jenna and Nick through Skype before their wedding, but these two felt just like old friends. The joy of their day was absolutely contagious and it was SO much fun capturing it! They truly bring out the best in each other and their love for each other is so contagious!

Jenna, a New York native, first moved to Washington D.C. in June of 2015 to get back to the east coast. When she started work in D.C. as a nurse, a few of her co-workers convinced her to get on the famous app, Tinder. (YES – we’ve got a Tinder wedding y’all!). Jenna, being very hesitant 0f the “reputation” of Tinder, reluctantly agreed since her friends experienced a lot of success with the app.

At the same exact time, Nick was going through the same situation with his friends. They convinced him to join Tinder as well (it took A LOT of persuading). Within a month, Nick and Jenna each hit that swipe right and started messaging on the app. Nick was surprised that Jenna seemed normal and Jenna thought the same about Nick. When the two had decided it was time to meet in person, Nick formally asked Jenna to go on a date to get coffee and go to the National Zoo after about a month of getting to know each other online. Nick had no idea at all, but the Zoo was Jenna’s absolute favorite place to go! (Perfect, right?) The first date was so effortless and fun, conversation flowed easily, and the rest is history.

The pair dated for a little over a year before Nick decided it was time to ask Jenna to spend the rest of her life with him. He had planned a surprise vacation to Sonoma County, California. In Sonoma, they stayed at an adorable bed and breakfast in Kenwood, right on the foothills of a vineyard. Trust me, it was just as beautiful as it sounds! Nick told Jenna that the only thing they had planned was a mountain top wine tasting at Kunde Winery and that the winery was doing a special event with a photographer to take photos for the winery’s website. Jenna believed every word that Nick said! Little did she know that the photographer was actually there to photograph their engagement! Jenna’s breath was taken away when Nick knelt down on one knee on top of the mountain, with the most beautiful California scenery behind them, and asked her to be his wife. Without hesitation, Jenna said yes!

Jenna and Nick – I wish so much happiness for you both! Your wedding day was one of the most joy-filled days that I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing. I’m so grateful that you both trusted me with such a momentous day in both of your lives. I can’t wait to watch you both grow as a couple and start a family together! Here’s to so many wonderful memories ahead for you two!
