The wind was soft. The air was warm. It was the perfect November day at the River Retreat in Habersham. Moss was hanging from the looming oak trees, floating softly through the warm South Carolina breeze. As a soft melody played beside him, he walked to the front of his closest family and friends, his best friend at his side. It was finally time. Time to watch his bride walk down the aisle. His family to the left, her family to the right, they all stood together as one as Kristen walked down the aisle to her forever.
You see, just as their wedding day resonated peace and serenity, so do Kristen and Jonathan. These two have that effect on you. They share a love that comforts you when you’re around it. That makes you want what they have. That makes you remember what authentic joy looks and feels like. As they joined hands at the altar and recited their vows, everyone knew that this was going to be a love that goes the distance.
Jonathan and Kristen’s wedding day encompassed all of the things that they hold dear. Their guest book was a leather-bound book with photographs from their travels together pasted inside. They love exploring new places together, especially in their Land Rover with the “Lowcountry Rovers” (so cute!!). Jonathan is a firefighter in Goldsborough, North Carolina, and comes from a family legacy of firefighters. They each wanted to celebrate his career throughout their wedding day! Kristen handmade table signs that acknowledged their family members and where they traveled from to celebrate with them.
Kristen and Jonathan, you guys are both truly (two) in a million! From our very first meeting (as Kristen taught me how to use Google hangouts lol), I knew we were going to leave this experience as friends. You guys are thoughtful in nature and never do anything hastily. Courage and bravery – themes that resonate through Jonathan’s firefighting career – are two character traits I see most profoundly in you two. Separately, you are both incredible people, but together… you two are going to do amazing things! It was such a pleasure to serve you both on the best day of your life. I love you guys to pieces!
