Oh, Heather and Shawn! I just love these two! If you keep scrolling, you can easily see why!

Heather and Shawn are from the Charlotte, North Carolina area. These two began wedding planning shortly after Shawn proposed and Heather absolutely knew that she wanted to get married in Charleston! (You SEE why I love them?!). Although I love a good Charlotte engagement session, we all know I love Charleston EVEN more! The oak trees, the historic row houses, the BEACH… does it get any better?! These are the exact reasons these two love it, too.

I have a little bit of a soft spot for those that choose a small, destination wedding. It’s brave, a little against the grain, and 100% about your dreams. If there’s one thing that I stand for, it’s being uniquely you and following your dreams. There is something to be respected about that, and respect is exactly what I have for these two lovely people!

On Saturday, we fought the rain, cold, and clouds. But you’d seriously NEVER know it from the looks of these two! They adventured down south for the weekend to explore reception dinner venues and stake out their beach ceremony location. Thankfully, I was able to steal a few hours of their weekend to soak up all of their love and beauty behind the camera! It was so magical!

Heather and Shawn, Chance and I had so much fun with you two on Saturday! You were both such troopers fighting off the cold, and looking INCREDIBLE while doing it! From dodging cars to dodging dog poop (HAHA), I’ll cherish the laughter and stories we shared! I’m so excited that you two picked Charleston for your big day and can’t wait to see you both again in May!
