Charleston is a place where beauty and wonder come together to create something magical for everyone that experiences it. I love being able to share that first experience with sweet couples like these two!

This past weekend, Lisa and John flew to Charleston all the way from Pennsylvania to celebrate Lisa’s birthday! Lisa is a wedding photographer herself, and let me tell you. The love of Charleston that runs through the wedding photographer community is DEEP, y’all. But really, we all know why. Charming row houses in southern pastel hues, ships coming and going through the harbor, and massive southern oaks looming over the sidewalks. There’s a reason it’s the greatest city in America!

So, naturally, when you come to the greatest city in America, you schedule photos to commemorate the beauty of it with the one you love most 🙂 That’s exactly what Lisa and John did! I knew as soon as she e-mailed me that she and I were going to hit it off. I was so right! I loved my session with these two on their first night in town! Sharing the joy of what I do and of this city are two of my favorite things in this life.
