Heather & Shawn: Romantic Charleston Elopement

As the rain poured in downtown Charleston on Heather and Shawn’s wedding day, we walked under the looming, Southern oaks in The Battery. We stood under the gazebo as the rain came down around us. Heather and Shawn were supposed to be married on Folly Beach at sunset, but mother nature had other plans for them, and I think it was perfect. It fit who these two are as a couple. Understanding, caring, and spontaneous. Heather understood she couldn’t change the weather, and all they cared about at the end of the day was spending the rest of their lives with each other. So instead of getting married on the beach, these two tied the knot in the middle of The Battery! Heather said it best when she said, “we never do anything that’s not adventurous!” 😉

Watching these two share their vows in the gazebo of The Battery, with the sound of rain on the roof and the waves of the harbor in the distance, was a memory I won’t soon forget. Their small, intimate ceremony was an honor to witness. Their vows were some of the most precious words I’ve heard a couple share. Their day was truly unforgettable.

Heather and Shawn, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day! You two complement each other so very well and it is such a pleasure to witness the love you two have for each other. I can’t wait to watch your marriage bless each other and the ones you love! All the best to you two, Mr. and Mrs. Webster! 🙂
