Braeloch on Glenburn Farms Wedding || Catherine & David

As Ed Sheeran’s voice floated through the room, singing, “We were just kids when we fell in love, not know what it was,” the whole room erupted in cheers and applause. The day had finally come. “I’ve never seen two people so in love as these two today.” As Catherine’s father opened dinner with a toast to the couple, everyone knew what he said was true. Because these two love each other with a love that is so deep and genuine. With a love that can only come from a friendship. With a love that is so easily apparent to those around them. With a love that knows the distance and only exists when you’ve experienced the good times with the hard ones.

David and Catherine met in 2003 and began an eight year friendship that would eventually lead to marriage 15 years later. Catherine still remembers David walking in through the doors of the church social hall, t-shirt tucked into his cargo shorts and all 🙂 Eight years later in 2011, it was obvious these two were starting to develop feelings for each other. Catherine and David went to the movies as friends, but David’s brother, Nick, tagged along to “supervise” 😉 As luck would have it, Nick ended up in the wrong theater, leaving David and Catherine alone watching Rango. As a scene came on where the characters all held hands around the fire, David whispered to Catherine, “I think this is the part where we hold hands,” and fit her hand into his, sparking a long-lasting romance the two had been hoping for.

After dating for six and a half years, four of those being long distance, David knew he wanted to propose to Catherine. BUT – he had to figure out the perfect plan so it wasn’t predictable! Fancy dinner? Nope. Sporting event? Never. After weeks of brainstorming, he had finally figured it out: an escape room. He and Catherine had always talked about how fun it would be to do one together!  After solving the very last puzzle in the room, David had the owners hide the ring box in a hidden compartment under a desk. David got down on one knee, and by referencing their first date, said, “I think this is the part where I propose.”

David and Catherine, I seriously just adore you two. Re-reading your story makes me smile just to know that I was able to capture a piece of such an epic love story! You two have the best families and the biggest support system heading into your marriage and I know that every single one of them are cheering for you! I am SO excited for you two to begin your lives together as Mr. and Mrs. DiNardo!! CONGRATULATIONS!!
