I’ve never shot at Red August Farm before, but would do it again and re-live Jacqui and John’s wedding day forever and ever, AMEN.

Jacqui and John met in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on a Forestry Club retreat in February of 2016. Jacqui wasn’t part of the Forestry Club like John, but had a few good friends going and didn’t have any other plans that weekend. So, why not tag along? Little did she know that her first night in Tennessee, she would meet her husband. That first night, the two instantly connected, and as Jacqui put it, began what was her greatest adventure. By the end of the night, they were mapping out how far the other lived (Jacqui in Maryland, John in Virginia) to see the distance between them.

After the trip, the two began dating. They spent their days outside if they could, making dinners together, spending time with friends, and growing closer to each other and God. John graduated from Virginia Tech 3 short months later, and from then on, they spent their weekends traveling back and forth between Virginia and Maryland.

Jacqui headed back to Virginia Tech in the fall and John not being there with her made her last year harder than she expected. Weekends were cherished, phone calls were coveted, and love letters were frequent. Jacqui went on to graduate from Virginia Tech and began her career, while John began his own construction company.

Later that fall in September, John got down on one knee and asked Jacqui to marry him at the lot where their first house was to be built by him. (HOW CUTE?!). They are currently building their first home together and long distance will be a thing of the past 🙂

Jacqui and John, I adored being part of your wedding day! I am so happy for you two and love seeing how happy you two make each other! I can’t wait to watch you two grow old together and make memories in your new home! I wish you two nothing but the best!
