This week’s blog is a little bit of a throwback! Katelin is a great friend of one of my past clients, Ayat, and I was so flattered when she reached out about capturing her son’s Charlotte newborn session at home. Katelin wanted to be sure that she captured this sweet season with the family’s newest addition. Although 2020 was a rough year for so many of us, moments like these – so filled with joy – made it a little easier. I’m excited to finally be sharing this session with you, it’s a favorite for sure. Trust me, prepare to have your heart melted!

Charlotte Newborn Session at Home

Baby Bodie has the MOST gorgeous nursery! It was actually designed by Maggie Crandall of Crandhall Haus and she did an incredible job. I couldn’t stop taking photos of all the little details she chose. Our session was split between the nursery and Katelin’s master bedroom. Everything was so light and airy in their house – it was a dream to photograph! We grabbed some photos of the whole family in the master and the living room before her husband had to pop back to work. For the rest of the time, I focused on Katelin with Bodie and big brother Pierce. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a cuter big brother! He was SO excited to show off Bodie and loved holding him. And all the kisses?! Seriously, I melted!!!

For the end of the session, I worked with just Katelin and Baby Bodie. If I’m being honest, those images might be some of my all-time favorite mother-baby photographs. There’s just something about the way she looks at her son! And the photos of her with both boys were so special too. Pierce is definitely a sweetheart. Congratulations again to this family! I can’t believe that Bodie will be just about one now!!
