I love the opportunities I get to photograph families every year – especially families like the Londons who are just so kind! Pat, the sweet matriarch of the London family, reached out to me after seeing Katrina and Hutch’s Charleston vow renewal on the blog. She wanted to know if I could photograph their Charleston family session at the beach house they rent each year for their vacation at Isle of Palms. Of course, I said YES! I was so excited to meet her and the rest of her family for their family photos!
Charleston Family Session
What’s so funny about saying I couldn’t wait to meet the London family was that I actually HAD met some of them before. It turns out I had photographed her daughter, Lauren, and her family before. It was so good to see Lauren and her family again – and to meet the rest of Pat’s kids, their spouses, and all of her grandkids! With all of the kids, we decided it was best to keep the session in the backyard of their gorgeous beach house for the week. It made sense to keep the kids from running into the water and helped minimize the wind on that super blustery day!
Despite all of the wind, we had a gorgeous session together. They did such an incredible job coordinating everyone’s outfits, too! They were the perfect beach-inspired palette and everything looked amazing together. Thank you Pat for inviting me into your family’s beach haven for the afternoon. I loved watching your family together and I’m so happy we could make your Charleston family session happen!
