Anyone else hear “New York, New York” while looking at these?! I’m ecstatic to share this incredible engagement session with you today! Anna and Joe’s Yankee Stadium engagement session is probably one of the coolest sessions I’ve ever been able to photograph!! I grew up dancing with Anna when we both lived back in Virginia. Now, she lives in South Carolina with her fiancé, Joe, while I live in Charlotte. When they got engaged, Anna called me about hiring me as her wedding photographer (of course I said yes!) and we started talking details. Her fiancé, Joe, grew up in Long Island and is a huge New York Yankees fan. Before they even got engaged, Anna knew we just HAD to do a session at Yankee Stadium. I still can’t believe this is real life!!!
Yankee Stadium Engagement Session
We wound up scheduling a two hour tour of the stadium and while we were there, we were able to capture the first part of their engagement session. Anna and Joe went all out including matching jerseys with a “6” and “4” to represent their June 4th wedding date. The stadium even put their names and congratulations message up on the board which was just so cool!!! I could tell Anna and Joe were just having the time of their lives, especially when we were able to get a few photos on the home plate and warning track.
When we were all done at Yankee Stadium, we headed out to Gantry Plaza State Park. Their dog Cici joined us there as we got a few classic NYC photos with the skyline behind them. They’re some of my favorite photos because New York City is one of my favorite places. I couldn’t have asked for a better session for Anna and Joe!
It truly a dreamy day in NYC and I’m still blown away that they asked me to do this with them! Anna and Joe, I can’t wait for your June wedding next year in Charleston! I know it’s going to be so memorable and everything you’ve been dreaming of! Congratulations again!!!
