The Terrace at Cedar Hill Wedding Celebration for First Anniversary

Congratulations on your first anniversary, Katherine and Philip! Katherine and Philip did something a little different – like so many couples during this pandemic. The new Mr. and Mrs. live in Austin, TX but Katherine’s entire family lives in Charlotte. During the start of the pandemic, they were supposed to tie the knot in Charlotte… but they had to change plans. They decided to have an intimate ceremony in Austin to make things official and they then planned an anniversary gala here in Charlotte instead! With their family and friends, Katherine and Philip celebrated with a Terrace at Cedar Hill wedding celebration… and it was absolutely stunning!

To celebrate their marriage, Katherine and Philip planned the most classic and elegant celebration in Charlotte. Both Katherine and Philip got back into their wedding attire – and asked their bridal party to come in theirs – and they celebrated with everyone they love. Without a ceremony, we were able to spend more time on portraits around Charlotte and with their bridal party. It was so much fun to see them with their family and friends. It was obvious that everyone was so excited to party with them. I have to admit, I kind of loved this idea of an anniversary gala. Who doesn’t want a reason to party these days?!

Every detail of their party was just gorgeous. They kept the palette clean with black, white, and pops of green and gold throughout the space at the Terrace at Cedar Hill. Everything felt elegant and classic, allowing their guests to relax and just focus on the celebration. I loved watching Katherine and Philip just kick back and enjoy the evening. I think that’s definitely a perk of it being an anniversary party – no nerves that come with wedding days typically!
