These two are best friends. It doesn’t take long to be around them to notice how in sync they are with each other. Matt and Olivia met their senior year of high school and bonded over Olivia being raised in China as a missionary kid and Matt’s two little sisters being from China. They both had a crush on each other that year, but neither one of them acted on it or chose to acknowledge it. Clearly, Matt’s dad did, though. During Matt’s senior year, he said, “whenever Matt gets married, I hope he marries someone like Olivia.”
Well, Mr. Loerep, I think it all worked out 🙂 Matt and Olivia continually crossed paths over the next few years, during summers back in North Carolina and during their time at Liberty University. After that, the two went their separate ways, Matt to Charlotte for his job and Olivia to Durham to work as a nurse at Duke University. Thankfully, that didn’t stop Matt for pursuing Olivia. He invited her to come explore his new home of Charlotte and the rest is history. Before she knew it, Olivia was falling in love with him. And NOW – they’re married!!
Matt and Olivia, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day! I loved spending time with your families and friends and celebrating who you two are as a couple: kind, genuine, and sincere. I know you two are going to build an incredible life together wherever the Lord takes you! CHEERS to so much more fun ahead for you two!!
