No matter how old we get or how long it’s been since we put on a pair of ballet shoes, there’s just something so magical when you see a ballerina do what they’ve trained to do. For me, working with Alex and Sarah of EveryBODIES Ballet to capture their Uptown Charlotte branding session was truly inspiring. Alex and Sarah allowed me to be SUPER creative during their portraits. Seriously, I can’t thank them enough for that. Using color and movement to bring their portraits to life made these a fun challenge for me. As someone who danced when she was younger, I can truly say this was a ton of fun. And not only that, I really do love their mission. EveryBODIES Ballet is all about being able to do ballet, no matter your age or size, and teaching about the benefits ballet gives your body!

Uptown Charlotte Branding Session

When Alex and Sarah reached out about their Uptown Charlotte branding session, I immediately started brainstorming how we could make their shoot unique. I wanted their images to be powerful and lots of fun. These two ballerinas were truly up for anything and I can’t even begin to describe how hard it was to pick favorites from their session to share with you! Alex recently retired from the Charlotte Ballet and Sarah is still a part of the company. But together, they are building a new and incredibly empowering business and I’m HERE for it.

Alex and Sarah, thank you for trusting me with your branding portraits. I LOVED getting to work with you both. I just adore you – which I hope you know! Every time I go through your session, I find more favorites and reasons to love these. You’re both so strong, so athletic, and just beautiful.
