Fall Barnsley Resort Wedding | Allie & AJ

Weddings

Allie and AJ’s Barnsley Resort wedding was one of those perfect fall weekends that made me SO excited to do what I do. The leaves were gorgeous, the property was beautiful, and their tented reception came together in such an incredible way. But more than anything, Allie and AJ wanted their wedding to feel fun and give all of their favorite people an amazing weekend together.

These two also have the sweetest full-circle love story. Allie and AJ first started dating in 2011 as high school sweethearts. Even though they broke up and spent five years apart, they eventually found their way back to each other. Truly one of those “if it’s meant to be, it will be” love stories!

They went to Florida Gulf Coast together, and AJ later proposed in Chattanooga, a place that has always been really special to them. Today, they live in Nashville with their two beloved pups, Bambi and Georgia, where Allie works in the music industry!

A Perfect Fall Weekend at Barnsley Resort

Allie and I immediately hit it off when we first chatted, and not long after, I flew to Nashville to photograph their engagement session. I knew from the beginning that their wedding was going to be such a fun one!

They chose Barnsley Resort just outside of Atlanta for their celebration, and it was the PERFECT setting for the weekend they envisioned. I photographed their welcome party the night before, which made it even more fun getting to know their friends and family before the wedding day!

Allie and AJ decided not to have a traditional wedding party, which I LOVE. It allowed the day to feel relaxed and really centered around the two of them while still having all of their closest people there celebrating alongside them. And we could not have asked for a prettier fall weekend. The changing leaves throughout the property were absolutely gorgeous and gave us the most beautiful backdrop for portraits.

A Tented Reception Made for a Party

The reception design was STUNNING. Barnsley Resort used this style of tent in the clearing for the first time for Allie and AJ’s wedding, and it completely transformed the space. The tent, the fall landscape, and all of the gorgeous design details came together so beautifully.

The property gave the entire weekend such an intimate feel. Their friends and family were all there together, and it almost felt like they had this little corner of Barnsley completely to themselves.

From the beginning, Allie told me she wanted her wedding to be FUN and feel like an amazing party, and that is exactly what it became. After more than a decade of history, including finding their way back to one another, it felt especially sweet watching these two finally get married surrounded by everyone they love. Their gorgeous celebration was even featured in the July/August print issue of Modern Luxury Nashville, which was such a fun way to see this wedding live on beyond that weekend!

Allie and AJ, I’m so grateful I got to be part of your wedding day. From flying to Nashville for your engagement photos to spending the most beautiful fall weekend celebrating with you at Barnsley Resort, it was SUCH a joy getting to document this chapter of your story!
