I can’t begin to explain how much I just ADORED this family and their new baby, Jack. We celebrated Jack’s first few days at home with a lifestyle portrait session. As soon as I walked into the session, I knew I was going to be instant friends with Kaitlyn. She had a sweet plant, card, and bottle of Prosecco waiting for me. For HER family’s session!! Just shows you how thoughtful she is. It was just so special. I got to meet their new son, Baby Jack, and his older (puppy) brother, Bennett. We spent the day together, with lots of cuddles and kisses for their new little guy. Being a Charlotte newborn photographer definitely has it’s perks – like meeting sweethearts like Jack!

Lifestyle Portraits at Home

During the session, I found out that both Kaitlyn and her husband’s families are from Scotland, actually from active clans. You know I immediately asked if they’d seen Outlander and 100% launched into all the reasons they need to watch! We had a great time chatting more about their roots. And, we even photographed Jack on a tartan at the start of their session as an ode to their family history! Amazing!!! We explored their living room, bedroom, and Jack’s nursery for portraits. Bennett followed us everywhere, wanting to be sure he knew where his baby brother was. It was just adorable! And Kaitlyn asked if we could take a few photos in front of the art they chose to buy when they found out that she was pregnant with Jack. I love being bale to incorporate whatever makes your family and home special in lifestyle sessions!
