Where do I start with Hannah and Baxter?! When I first met Hannah, it was like I was reconnecting with an old friend. We met up at Restoration Hardware and had champagne (soooo on brand for me!) and chatted for at least 2 hours. In the time we talked, we learned her parents lived in my hometown, we had mutual friends, and ultimately realized how small the world is. Suffice to say, when they decided to book me, I was absolutely thrilled! We planned their springtime Duke Mansion engagement portraits together to reflect their personalities and love story. And when the day finally came to meet up, I just had such a wonderful time!

Duke Mansion Engagement Portraits

Hannah and Baxter’s Duke Mansion engagement portraits were so much fun! I loved that Hannah reached out to me leading up to her session, texting outfits for my opinion. In the end, I think she chose the perfect outfit!!! Her blue and white dress was SO springy and was just perfect for twirling and walking. Duke Mansion has the prettiest grounds and we had no shortage of beautiful spots to photograph this sweet couple. I loved watching them together and with their dog, Archer! I’m SO SO happy any time a couple brings their furbaby!!! I mean, how could I not be?! And Archer was SUCH a good boy in his little tie! It was so cute. After their more classic outfits, they changed into custom jerseys they had made with Baxter’s last name on them. Since they’re huge Saints fans, it was the perfect nod to that part of their relationship.

I cannot wait to see them again for their Separk Mansion wedding next year! It’s going to be a blast (and I hope they bring their pup!). Congratulations again, Hannah and Baxter!
