Makenzie Short: Downtown Lynchburg Senior Session

First senior session of the year is officially in the books!

No joke, I did a little happy dance before walking out the door last night because I absolutely LOVE senior sessions! I don’t know if it’s because it was one of the best times in my life or just because I love portrait sessions, but they are some of my favorites I look forward to each year!

And precious Makenzie was my first of 2017! Makenzie is graduating next month from Jefferson Forest High School with not only a high school diploma but also with her associates degree and will be attending James Madison University in the fall to study nursing (…maybe) 😉

Makenzie is such a joy to be around! I had so much fun exploring downtown with her and her mom, Connie! (Her mom is the real MVP for helping me by holding the reflector the whole shoot!). You’d never believe it, but it was dark and stormy through this entire session! We even had to stop at one point and all huddle under an umbrella because it started raining pretty hard. The power of the reflector, my friends!

Makenzie, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your senior year! I loved capturing this special time of your life. So glad to have gained you as a friend 🙂
