Christen and Christian’s wedding day at the Fillmore in Charlotte was one. for. the. books!!! These two are from the same hometown in Fort Mill, South Carolina and grew up together as friends. They actually went to their 8th grade dance together! As 8th grade Christian met Christen’s father, he shook his hand and introduced himself. Nick, Christen’s father, said hello and left things at that. After Nick only said a brief hello to Christian, Christen’s mom asked him why he didn’t speak more to him and wasn’t nicer. He responded with, “What do you expect? For me to treat him like he’s my future son-in law?” Well, well Mr. Economos – should’ve seen this one coming 😉
After their 8th grade dance, Christen and Christian parted ways as they grew up. Each had their own friend groups and hobbies through high school and college. After college, they each wound up living in Charlotte and fate took its course. They dated for four years before Christian asked her to marry him.
Christen and Christian, I had SO much fun with you guys on your wedding day! You guys felt like life long friends and it made every part of your day feel that much more exciting! You two light up a room and have so much fun together. You inspired me to love deeper in my own marriage AND taught me how to throw a serious party 😉 It was such a fun night that I know you guys will cherish forever! CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. and Mrs. Starnes!! xo
