When Holeigh and her husband, Noah, reached out about capturing their Charlotte newborn session for their sweet son, Emmett, I was honored. These two were incredible film photographers here in Charlotte! I know I’ve said it before, but any time another photographer asks ME to capture their special moments, I feel SO privileged! Every session is special, but this one seems a notch above. I loved getting to meet Baby Emmett and spend more time with Holeigh and Noah!

Charlotte Newborn Session

For their Charlotte newborn portraits, we knew we wanted to keep things causal and relaxed. So, we opted for a lifestyle session! Our session was nice and slow, peaceful even. I love that about lifestyle sessions. There’s no where to go or rush off to, so we can take our time. And, everyone is generally more relaxed anyway since we’re at home – where they’re comfortable. It’s even better for babies because you don’t have to worry about packing everything you might need for one session! It’s all at our fingertips. And I just LOVE how cozy lifestyle sessions at home always come out to be! Curled up in your favorite chair or the nursery floor, being at home makes everything more special.

It was so exciting to see Holeigh and Noah step into their roles as mom and dad. Baby Emmett is just adorable, too!! It was perfect!! Since then, Holeigh and I have stayed in touch, chatting about our love of Outlander (the books AND show!). I don’t say it enough, but I’m so happy that my job allows me to connect with so many wonderful people. I’ve been lucky enough to meet some great friends through this business!!
