Eva and Michael welcomed their baby boy Cillian to the world recently! I had the honor of capturing their sweet lifestyle newborn session in the gorgeous Charlotte home on their 8th wedding anniversary!! And today, I’m sharing it with you! Eva and Michael’s home is stunning, a modern restoration and it had the best backdrops for our portraits! I always love finding the pockets of good light in everyone’s home when I’m there for lifestyle portraits. It’s the best kind of challenge. Cillian’s newborn portraits were such a joy to photograph. This little boy is SO loved already and I’m thrilled to know this sweet family.
Lifestyle Newborn Session in Charlotte Home
There’s something special about capturing newborn sessions for families at home. Everyone’s full of that newborn bliss – and it’s nice to be able to kick back in the space you love most. During this lifestyle session, Cillian was the sweetest. He was as happy as could be and loved being with his mom and dad. You could tell that they just adore him so much – and I can’t blame them!
When I schedule newborn sessions, we always plan for 2 hours. These sweet babies are on their own schedule, which is just fine! I want to have time for them to rest, feed, and the whole family to feel relaxed. It was a good thing we did for Eva, Michael, and Cillian because he needed a short nap during our session. I loved the chance to catch up with Eva and Michael while he rested. We talked about all things parenthood, life pre-baby, homeownership, and just how life is after marriage. It was a sweet little break for all of us.
