Carrington is one of my favorite people. After her move to Raleigh, I was one of the first people who connected with her. We sat down for coffee, got to know each other, and I realized just how much I absolutely adore her! Carrington’s a part of McLean Events, so she’s a wedding planner here in Charlotte. It’s always so fun when work and play intersect in my relationships!! Not long after I met her, Carrington asked if I would be willing to capture a Charlotte family session for her family, celebrating her baby boy Declan’s first birthday! Without any hesitation, I said yes!!

Charlotte Family Session

I photographed Carrington and her sweet baby boy at their home here in Charlotte. It was a great time – and Declan was AMAZING. You never know how little ones will be during our session, which is totally fine! But, this little man was so sweet and bubbly the entire time. It’s clear that his parents just adore him, and it’s easy to see why! He’s such a vibrant boy and during our session, he loved toddling around. I’m sure not long after these were taken, he was walking clear across the room on his own.

Whether you’re documenting your newborn baby boy or your little one’s big birthday, a lifestyle family session at home is a great option. Being at home means everyone can relax a little bit more. And, with kids, that’s even better. In a space they know, they’re more likely to open up and show me who they really are. Declan loved showing off his puzzle and was comfortable at home, making my job super easy. If you’re thinking about a lifestyle session, know that I’m always going to say DO IT!
