Lake Norman Newborn Session for Baby No. 2
I’m so excited to share this session because, we were celebrating baby #2 for Judith and Adam!! I first met this adorable couple when they hired me to do their maternity and newborn sessions for little Jackson! A true southern, down-to-earth couple, they live just north of Charlotte, NC in Lake Norman. This is such a pretty town and one of my favorites to visit when I need some time away from Queen City!
Both Judith and Adam are dream clients when it comes to family sessions! They are super flexible and really kind of let what happens happen with the kids. No stress for picture-perfect poses or a rigid timeline, we just let it roll naturally and it always turns out so beautifully! I capture the family as activities and interactions unfold. We play, we have fun, and we get the best candid moments!! And of course, we must have a few photos with the fur baby of the house! Their golden retriever is the sweetest and loves to spend time with the kiddos.
Grandmother Moments
Another moment I really enjoyed in this session is when Judith’s mom joined us for a few minutes! I love when clients bring their parents into newborn shoots because then we get some really sweet grandparent photos. Who doesn’t love a good generational shot?!
As you’ll see from the pictures, their home is stunning and super neutral, so it almost felt like it was a studio session which I also love! Plenty of clean lines and neutral backgrounds, which makes it easier to move around with the kids and not be worried about getting a cohesive gallery. Judith had some pretty southern trinkets to add as well. From the little signage that has Williams’s name on it, to his monogrammed swaddle by Beaufort Bonnet Company. SO precious!!
