Branding sessions are always such a joy for me, but this one with Atwell Ford Real Estate in Winston-Salem might forever be one of my favorites! Their team was in the middle of a complete rebrand and wanted updated lifestyle portraits that felt bright, modern, and truly reflective of who they are, not just as real estate agents, but as people. If you’ve seen their site, you know they are warm, personable, and relationship-driven. So creating a session that felt authentic, inviting, and full of personality was key from the very beginning! We did just that with their bright and personality-filled branding session.

A Fresh Approach to Real Estate Branding

Instead of stiff headshots or overly traditional portraits, the goal was to document the team in real environments. To do this, we captured them in action hosting clients, walking through beautiful spaces, and simply being themselves.

We spent the session in a thoughtfully staged home and used different rooms to create variety and depth, from clean and minimal backdrops to cozy lifestyle scenes. The bright, airy aesthetic aligned perfectly with their new brand direction. We also had so much fun letting everyone shine in their own way!

Showcasing Each Personality

One thing I really loved about this branding session was how intentional the team was about spotlighting what makes each member unique:

• One agent, who loves curling up with a book and a cup of coffee, was photographed reading in a cozy nook.

• Another is known for crafting the best cocktails! Naturally, we photographed her mixing drinks in the kitchen, completely in her element.

• Karen, an artist on the team, brought her paint supplies so we could capture her creativity and love of color.

Instead of the same pose repeated across the board, we created tailored portraits that felt personal and full of life. Because when you’re working with clients in the real estate world, relationships matter, and showing who you are goes a long way.

I mostly photograph branding sessions for creative entrepreneurs and small teams of one or two, so working with a group like this felt energizing in the best way. The personalities, the laughter, the storytelling… it was a dream!
