Sweet In-Home Newborn Session in Charlotte

Baby William’s cozy Charlotte newborn session was one of those that just felt extra special from the moment I walked through the door. This was his parents’ first baby, and you could feel the love and excitement in every corner of their beautiful Charlotte home.

They found me through one of my past brides (which is always such an honor!) and we also happen to share a few mutual friends. So the entire session felt relaxed, familiar, and full of warmth right from the start.

Their home was filled with the most gorgeous natural light, making it the perfect setting for an in-home newborn session. Baby William was an absolute dream! He was completely conked out and slept soundly through almost the entire session, which made capturing those soft, peaceful moments so easy.

I especially loved his nursery. The subtle animal theme was so sweet and perfectly suited for a baby boy. It’s thoughtful, cozy, and timeless without feeling overdone.

Of course, we can’t forget the adorable fur babies! They have two of the sweetest dogs, including a precious yellow lab who wanted to be part of every photo. She stayed close by the whole time, watching over baby William and sneaking into a few moments whenever she could. Those little details always make newborn sessions feel even more personal and real.

A First Chapter Worth Remembering

Photographing first-time parents in those early days is always incredibly meaningful. Everything is new, tender, and full of quiet emotion. Baby William’s parents were so kind, and so clearly soaking in every second of this season. And it was such a joy to document that for them!

In-home newborn sessions are some of my absolute favorites as a Charlotte newborn photographer. They allow families to slow down and capture this fleeting season in a way that feels honest and true to them.
