One of my favorite things about Charlotte branding photography is getting to walk alongside businesses as they grow. Sometimes that means launching something brand new, and sometimes it means helping a brand step into its next season. That was exactly the case with Grace and Tori of The Beauty Tribe!
I first photographed their branding session back in 2022 when their business was in a very different season (check it out here). Fast forward a few years, and their company has continued to grow and evolve in all the BEST ways. As they began working through a rebrand, they knew it was time for photos that reflected where their business is today. And I was SO excited to be the one to do it!!
Grace and Tori, the talented team behind The Beauty Tribe, are two of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. They are based in Winston-Salem but serve brides and couples all across North Carolina and beyond. Their personalities are a huge part of what makes their business so special, so while they wanted their refreshed branding to feel more polished and elevated, they never wanted to lose the warmth and relatability their clients know and love.
A Perfect Beauty Backdrop
We photographed their updated branding session at The Crest in Winston-Salem, which was the perfect backdrop for their new direction. The space felt clean, bright, and elevated while still allowing plenty of room for creativity.
One thing I love about Grace and Tori is that they truly understand the bigger picture of branding. They don’t think about photos as something that only lives on Instagram. They come into a session already thinking about how they’ll use the images in their pricing guides, welcome materials, website, social media, and client experience.
As a Charlotte branding photographer, those are always my favorite types of sessions because we get to think strategically and creatively at the same time.
A Cohesive Collaboration
Another fun part of this session was incorporating elements from their new visual identity. Their designer created several custom icons and graphic elements for the rebrand, and we worked to bring some of those concepts into the actual photographs. It created such a cohesive connection between the imagery and the overall brand.
And of course, we had to create plenty of flat lays.
If you’ve worked with me before, you know I love a good flat lay, and these two are always my biggest cheerleaders when it comes to those. They regularly use those images throughout their marketing materials and client-facing collateral, which is exactly why we made sure to create a fresh collection during this session.
What I love most about this session is that it still feels completely like Grace and Tori. The images feel polished and refined, but also warm, approachable, and FUN. You can follow along with their rebrand and upcoming website launch here!
