Haley and Nick’s coastal Lowndes Grove wedding felt like something straight out of a Nancy Meyers film! Romantic, coastal, timeless, and full of light. From the soft blue hydrangeas to the waterfront views, every detail reflected their story in the most beautiful way.
These two were set up at a New Year’s Eve party. The funny part is, Nick did not realize he was being set up and brought someone else! As fate would have it, it didn’t matter. They hit it off that night and have been inseparable ever since.
Haley is from Florida and spent summers in Maine visiting her grandmother. Nick hails from Western New York (a very proud and obvious Buffalo Bills fan). They travel constantly, golf together, ski out west, and love their golden retrievers Charlie and Honey (who will obviously be pictured later). Their engagement took place in Kennebunkport, Maine during a quiet beach walk before brunch. Nick told her, “I’ve known since the day I met you, I wanted you to be my wife.” After she said yes, her entire family was waiting nearby to celebrate!
Hydrangeas, Coastal Charm, and Thoughtful Details
Lowndes Grove was the perfect setting for their coastal vision. Haley’s lifelong love of hydrangeas inspired the palette, with soft blues layered alongside fresh greens and subtle touches of coral and yellow. The florals felt airy and garden inspired, like a New England spring day set against Charleston’s waterfront.
Haley’s gown was timeless and romantic, inspired by Hailey Bieber’s off the shoulder lace look. After a few appointments and some doubt, she found the PERFECT one at Anjolique Bridal, which happened to be the very first gown she tried on!
Her bridesmaids wore the same shade of blue from Dessy Group, each choosing their own silhouette. The matron of honor stood out in a blue and white pattern that added the perfect touch of visual interest.
The details were SO intentional. A stunning custom monogram dance floor tied back to their invitation suite. Oyster shell place cards nodded to the coastal setting. Even the pattern from their save the date liner carried through into the reception linens. Guests enjoyed Charleston favorites like pimento cheese, crab cakes, chicken and waffle bites, and a raw bar that felt perfectly at home at a Lowndes Grove wedding!
Private Vows and the Sweetest Moments
Instead of a first look, Haley and Nick stood back to back and exchanged private vows before the ceremony. It preserved the aisle moment while giving them space to be fully present together. It was so emotional in the best way!! You can actually watch their viral private vows moment here.
Nick was teary all day, completely in love and unafraid to show it! Haley also shared a heartfelt moment with her mom during the reception, dedicating her bouquet to her and speaking about how much she means to her.
And the dance floor? PURE JOY. There was an epic girlhood moment that completely took over TikTok and perfectly captured the energy of the night. You can see it here!
Haley and Nick’s Lowndes Grove wedding was heartfelt, elegant, and wildly fun!! One of those days that just felt special from beginning to end!
